How Does Email Finder Work?

Impossible Email Finder leverages our industry-leading email verifier to "guess-and-check" emails.

What does this mean?

Let's assume that you submit a request with the fullName="Victor Dong" and website="trykitt.ai"

Our system will intelligently:

  • Parse and expand the full name -- stripping erroneous characters and credentials (eg: Phd), parsing the name based on cultural context (eg: south americans may have 4-5 names), evaluate nicknames, etc.

  • Parse and expand the website -- finding alternative/related email domains (eg: Zenefits users have Trinet names through acquisition)

  • Combine these into dozens of permutations ([email protected] , [email protected], etc) and then throw all of these at the email verifier.

If a positive result is returned from the email verifier, we consider this to be a valid email and return it.

Do I Have To Validate The Emails You Return?

Because of how the email finder works, all of the results are implicitly valid!

What Makes This Product Different/Better?

We have the best permutation algorithm and the best verifier in the marketplace. This means we can search more email variations with a more advantageous cost structure and get a more accurate result for less $$$.

I'm Seeing You're Returning Emails Nobody Else Can, But At the Same Time You're Missing Some Emails

We currently only return results for Microsoft and Google hosted emails (not this is not related to what the MX records say but the actual email server technology). We are adding support for more sources as we find way to offer the cheapest results in the marketplace. For now, we will not have the highest coverage alone as a provider, but we will have the cheapest and most accurate results in the market. Therefore, for now we recommend having some waterfall process/capability in your enrichment process.
