API Rate Limit Increases

V
Written by Victor Dong

To request an API limit increase, please provide the following information:

  • What is your workload and/or SLA that the current capacity is unable to meet

  • How much capacity you want, and how it maps to the workload

Some tips to get approval fast:

  • Ask for a specific capacity increase number (eg: 80 concurrent requests)

  • Ask for what you need, not a 'nice to have' number

  • Ask for what you need short-term, not what you think you will need someday (you can always ask for more, plus we often auto-increase api limits as we see customers consistently hitting them.

Some typical use cases we will approve quickly

  • API integrator with consistent volume/throughput

  • An extraordinarily large one time batch job that would take many hours/days

Some use cases that typically aren't approved unless further justification is provided:

  • Small one time jobs that you want done in 20 minutes instead of 1 hour.

  • Accounts with low request success rates (eg: sending low quality traffic)
